Nathans Hot Dog Eating Contest is the superbowl of competitive eating. Whoever can eat the most hot dogs in 12 minutes, and can keep them in, will reign as King Of The Eaters. Only world-class competitors like Sonya "The Black Widow" Thomas, "Humble" Bob Shoudt, or current champion Joey "Jaws" Chestnut are invited to Coney Island to compete. King amongst these paragons of human achievement was Takeru "The Tsunami" Kobayashi, a 5'7", 75kg phenom has kept the Nathan's Famous Belt in Japan for the last six years. He was regarded as a national hero. That is, at least, until this week's competition.

Watch as a giant crumbles. Shed no tears for Kobayashi. Pass him a napkin instead.
